Gateways: Access to Jewish Education exists to enable students with diverse learning needs to succeed in Jewish educational settings and participate meaningfully in Jewish life. Over the last 15 years, Gateways has partnered with day schools, congregational and community schools and early childhood programs in the Boston region and beyond to provide special education services, expertise, and support. Gateways also operates its own independent formal and informal Jewish education programs designed for students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
Position Summary
Gateways is currently seeking a creative and skilled instructional designer to support the development of an asynchronous online course, Meeting the Needs of All Learners in Jewish Day Schools. This is an exciting summer (6-8 weeks) opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project that will help Jewish day school educators better support students with disabilities.
The selected candidate will work collaboratively with Gateways’ inclusion and day school experts, led by the Director of Professional Learning and Consultation, in an iterative process to build, refine, and finalize the course.
