Maot Chitim of Greater Chicago is a not-for-profit organization established in 1908. We provide food and essential support to help individuals and families in the Jewish community celebrate holidays and traditions with dignity. Our core programs include holiday food distribution for Passover and Rosh Hashanah, as well as ongoing Shabbat meal support. We also help support CJE Holocaust Community Services programs and programs at Misericordia for Jewish residents and their families. We collaborate with many other Chicagoland Jewish organizations, including JUF, Hillels, Chabads, and Synagogues. We are a grass roots organization with a successful history of bringing many volunteers together from across the metro area and encompassing all facets of the Jewish population (reform, conservative, orthodox).
