Part-time Torah Reader

Congregation KTI, an egalitarian Conservative synagogue in Port Chester, NY, seeks an occasional Torah reader for specific dates in 2026 and beyond. The reader must prepare the entire triennial Torah reading and the annual maftir (including any special maftir readings) and chant them from the Torah scroll with minimal errors. 

We are seeking a Torah reader for any and all of the following Shabbat mornings in 2026: July 11, July 25, August 8, August 22, August 29, September 19, October 10, November 14, and December 26.

Compensation (as a contractor) is $250-$300 per day, commensurate with experience.
