FUNCTION:        The Young Dallas Leadership Associate is responsible for developing and executing a dynamic vision to engage and inspire young adult leaders within the Jewish community. This role leads to strategic planning and implementation of programs, campaigns, and events that foster leadership, philanthropy, and community involvement among young adults.

This position will also recruit and run our LEAD’s Leadership program for those in their mid 20’s to early 30’s.

REPORTS TO:     Sr. Director of Women’s Philanthropy & Leadership

 Key Responsibilities

 Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, trusted relationships with staff, donors, volunteers, and community members.

  • Fundraising & Development: Manage and solicit a portfolio of young adult donors; drive philanthropic growth through innovative campaigns and outreach.
  • Program Leadership: Design and lead diverse programming that appeals to singles, couples, and young families, ensuring inclusivity and engagement.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute events and initiatives that educate, inspire, and connect young adults to the Federation’s mission.
  • Campaign Oversight: Develop and implement annual campaign strategies, including calendar planning, goal setting, and organizational structure; adapt plans as needed throughout the year.
  • Volunteer Engagement: Identify and nurture emerging leaders; create opportunities for leadership development and volunteer retention.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Federation leadership and staff to identify volunteers for key roles, recommend campaign chairs, and support succession planning.
  • Budget & Operations: Oversee budgeting and expense monitoring in partnership with the accounting department.
  • Signature Events: Lead planning and execution of the Young Adult Signature Event.
  • Recruit and run our LEAD’s program.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support organizational goals.

 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education: Bachelor’s degree required. We’re looking for an energetic, mission-driven individual    who understands the Jewish nonprofit world and brings a strong philanthropic mindset.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Virtuous (or similar CRM/database).
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Confident, poised interpersonal skills; ability to educate and engage diverse audiences.
  • Problem-solving ability with minimal supervision.
  • Initiative, independence, and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to change and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to team success.
  • Sensitivity to Jewish culture and traditions
