Director of Development
Bayit Brigade | United States (Remote)
Position Overview
Bayit Brigade is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to lead and grow our U.S.-based development efforts. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who knows how to build relationships, close gifts, and create a clear fundraising plan that supports long-term growth.
Bayit Brigade provides affordable housing, community, and resilience support to Lone Soldiers and new veterans in Israel who lack family support. Over the past two years, we have grown from 30 to 100 beds across Israel. As our annual operating budget approaches $1 million, this role is critical to ensuring the organization’s financial health and future impact.
This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Board of Directors. The focus is primarily on U.S.-based donors, while supporting international fundraising efforts as needed.
About Bayit Brigade
Founded in 2018 by former Lone Soldiers, Bayit Brigade was created to address one of the biggest challenges facing Lone Soldiers in Israel: stable housing. Without family support in Israel, many Lone Soldiers struggle to afford rent, find guarantors, and build a stable life during and after their service.
Bayit Brigade provides fully furnished, subsidized housing paired with strong community, personal guidance, and resilience support. Our network includes a flagship residential building in Ramat Gan, shared homes, and apartments in Tel Aviv. Soldiers may live with us during their service and for up to two years after discharge, giving them the stability they need to stay in Israel and build their future.
Housing is the foundation of our work, but community is what makes it a home. Through shared living, Shabbat and holiday programming, mental health support, and partnerships with other organizations, Bayit Brigade ensures no Lone Soldier has to face this journey alone. Our 2026–2028 strategic plan outlines continued growth in housing capacity and services, supported by a strong and sustainable philanthropic base.
