Job Summary:

The Assistant Nurse Supervisor must hold an active Registered Nurse license in Florida. This role assists the Nurse Supervisor in effectively managing the Home Care agency. Responsibilities include quality assurance, caregiver development training, process flow creation, and compliance audits. This position is also responsible for conducting and documenting all start-of-care for new and existing clients, as well as supervisory visits. The Assistant Nurse Supervisor is responsible for entering supervisory visits for all per-diem nurses into the care management system. Additional duties involve coordinating and completing assigned projects to support the company’s immediate and long-term goals; assisting new potential clients with eligibility for home care services; and planning and supervising the delivery of home health care to patients.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in electing, hiring, training, and managing staff.
  • Assists in policy review and revisions as requested to establish and support the highest possible quality of patient care, cost controls, quality assurance, and staff performance.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of various policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that established policies are enforced.
  • Assists in providing timely evaluation of personnel.
  • Acts as a liaison between staff, clients, the community, and upper management to ensure information is shared appropriately among the team.
  • Assists in creating PowerPoints, handouts, and assessments for clinical services and employee development training with caregivers.
  • Managing the process and actively participating in annual and random chart reviews to ensure compliance with AHCA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Review Open Shifts daily and ensure that all shifts are staffed accordingly.
  • Responsible for handling any escalated client calls that the client service advocates cannot address.
  • Perform quality assurance on recorded calls that are made by the client service advocates and provide training and feedback for improvement.
  • Take the lead on compliance auditing and build a process for Management to follow for any follow-up tasks.
  • Assist with the accreditation process and any audits for the agency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
