As the Director of Development, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening a culture of philanthropy that fuels educational excellence, community warmth, and long-term sustainability. You’ll collaborate with visionary lay leaders, an engaged parent body, and a dynamic leadership team to ensure that every campaign, event, and donor experience reflects the school’s heart and mission.

Your Impact

In this key leadership position, you’ll:

• Design and lead all major fundraising initiatives — including annual giving, capital campaigns, corporate partnerships, and legacy giving.
• Partner closely with senior leadership and the Board to craft and execute a strategic development plan that drives growth and deepens community engagement.
• Oversee two cornerstone fundraising events each year — transforming them into unforgettable celebrations of impact and connection.
• Build authentic relationships with donors, parents, alumni, and community members, inspiring continued investment in the school’s future.
• Collaborate with Communications and Finance teams to ensure storytelling, transparency, and data-driven success across all development efforts.
• Recruit and mentor dedicated volunteers and committee members who share a passion for advancing Jewish education.

About You

You’re a dynamic, organized, and relationship-driven professional who thrives on collaboration and purpose. You love creating experiences that inspire generosity and strengthen community bonds. You bring:

• 5+ years of fundraising and event planning experience (preferably in education or nonprofit/Jewish nonprofit sectors).
• Proven skill in donor cultivation, stewardship, and campaign execution.
• Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfort engaging with diverse stakeholders — from parents and alumni to board members and vendors.
• Passionate about philanthropy and Jewish education, with a deep appreciation for the values of Jewish learning and community.

• A proactive mindset, flexibility, and genuine excitement to grow with a mission-driven team.

 Position Details

• Location: On-site in Paramus, NJ
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8AM–5PM; Friday, 8AM–2PM
• Reports to: Associate Head of School
• Schedule Flexibility: Occasional evenings/weekends for events and community programs
