Day Camp Music Specialist (+ School Year Work)

Are you an enthusiastic, Jewish (or “Jew-ish”!) musician with a big personality? Do you love singing with kids and families? Then you might be a great fit to join us. Tkiya is seeking a music specialist/songleader to represent us at a day camp, leading music blocks by age group and also leading all camp Shabbat singalongs. The campgrounds are on Staten Island but will provide bussing from around Brooklyn and lower Manhattan. The position is 5 days a week during the summer, and we will have part time work for you during the school year leading programs such as preschool music, Tot Shabbat, and more! The camp meets M-F all day, and there are some orientation commitments in the evening and weekends in early June. This position comes with a lot of training and support - students are welcome to apply! Basic guitar and/or ukulele skills are required.

Tkiya creates participatory music experiences that meet participants where they are - physically, psychologically, and spiritually - to find their unique connection to Jewish culture and community. Our current focus is on families with young children and we partner with 60+ organizations, engaging with thousands of families each year to inspire a love for Judaism. Most of our programming is in the New York Metro Area, Atlanta, California Bay Area, and Philadelphia.
