Description

A dynamic Brooklyn-based non-profit is seeking an Executive/Special Assistant to support the Executive Director, providing a wide range of complex, confidential, and administrative support. Responsibilities include coordinating and managing executive scheduling; preparing and organizing communication materials; supporting board meetings and the preparation of board materials; liaising with clients and external partners such as funders or elected officials; organizing special events; and overseeing the efficient and effective use of the latest technology to improve workflows and information sharing within the organization. The dynamic nature of the role requires exemplary time management skills and the ability to proactively identify and anticipate the Executive Director’s needs, while interacting seamlessly and professionally with a broad range of stakeholders, including the Senior Management Team, Board of Directors, public officials, and funders. The successful candidate will be expected to handle highly sensitive institutional information with the utmost professionalism and discretion.

Skillset and Background

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Three to five years’ prior experience in supporting a senior executive or team
  • Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), project management software, and AI tools
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Familiarity with the non-profit sector a plus
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills

Annual Salary: $75,000 - $95,0000
