Description

Given its sweeping mission, UJA-Federation, the world's largest local philanthropy, often finds itself at the nexus of world events. With antisemitism surging locally and around the world and an unprecedented outpouring of Jewish pride among New Yorkers, this is a defining moment for the organization.  Through our network of hundreds of nonprofits, large and small, we respond quickly and effectively to the most pressing issues of the day – in New York, in Israel, and around the world.

The UJA Manhattan Division engages donors through neighbor engagement, synagogue affiliation, community participation, and intergenerational experiences. No matter what age or stage a person is in life, the Manhattan Division is a go-to resource to connect with peers and change lives through meaningful volunteer projects, content-rich experiences, neighborhood and synagogue-based networks, UJA Pride, community events, and leadership development.

Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun and UJA-Federation of New York are longtime partners in doing good. Through KJ synagogue dues and the Yom Kippur appeal, UJA receives donations from KJ members.
