6th Grade Religious School Teacher (Sunday mornings)

Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel in Elkins Park PA, is seeking a 6^th Grade teacher and substitute teachers for our Religious School:

Location:  Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel, 8339 Old York Rd, Elkins Park, PA 19027

6th Grade Religious School Teacher

Schedule: Sundays, 9:15am-12pm, September through May 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead classroom learning based on Jewish values, Holidays, Torah stories, Israel and community building using our religious school curriculum
• Supported by a classroom aide/madrichim 
• Communicate regularly with parents and the Education Director

Qualifications: 

• Passion for creating fun and engaging learning experiences
• Interested in exploring creative and non-traditional approaches to education
• Collaborative team players who enjoy working with other educators
• Able to connect with learners across different developmental stages and learning styles
• Committed to inclusion and celebrating the diversity of our community
• Basic Judaic and Hebrew knowledge
• Background check required

Salary Commensurate with experience.
