Join Our Team! Religious School Educators Wanted for 2026-2027

The Center for Yourth Engagement of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles is seeking enthusiastic, creative, and collaborative educators tojoin our dynamic religious school team for 2026-2027 school year.

We're hiring for Sunday morning and/or Wednesday afternoons across our three vibrant campuses: Mid-Wilshire, West Los Angeles, and Brentwood. Our ideal educators bring a camp-style energy, love working with kids, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

We offer a supportive teaching community with a dedicated staff development coordinator, and exciting curriculum, and competitive pay ($30-$60+ per hour, based on experience, plus paid prep and training time).

Schedule & Locations:

Sundays: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (All Campuses)                                                                                                                                                            Wednesdays: 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM (Brentwood campus only)

What You'll Do:

• Build strong, meaningful relationships with students
• Collaborate with staff to plan fun and engaging lessons
• Deliver creative, experiential Jewish education
• Maintain attendance and classroom management
• Supervise students during breaks and specialist sessions
• Work with teaching assistants to support students needs
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members
• Stay current on emails and follow administrative protocols

What We're Looking for:

Required:

• Strong classroom presence and ability to engage students
• Creative, flexible, and organized
• Willingness to grow and collaborate
• Basic tech and computer skills (email, Google Drive, etc)
• Reliable and professional with schools systems (attendance, paryroll)

Preferred (but not required):

• Hebrew reading skills and basic Jewish prayer knowledge
• Prior lesson planning experience
