Job Title: Preschool Teacher
Location: Thelma K Reisman Preschool of Beth El – [South Orange, NJ]
Job Type: Full-Time (Part-Time Considered)

About Us

At Beth El, we believe that children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team and help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Observe and document children's progress and communicate regularly with families.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
  • Follow all licensing regulations and school policies.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Jewish traditions, holidays, customs, and basic prayers.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to pass all required background checks.
