Communications Manager
Position Overview
Congregation Har HaShem is seeking a creative and dynamic Communications Manager to join our vibrant temple community. This is not a traditional communications role focused on simply sharing information—it is an opportunity to shape how our story is told and experienced. We are looking for a strategic storyteller who can bring our mission to life, creating meaningful engagement across social media, digital platforms, and emerging channels.
The ideal candidate is a creative communicator with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives, develop innovative content strategies, and execute impactful campaigns that inspire connection and participation. You understand how to translate community life into authentic, engaging content that resonates both within our congregation and across the broader Boulder community.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities while thinking strategically and acting creatively. You are energized by the opportunity to help bring Har HaShem fully into the 21st century—positioning our unique community as a vibrant and meaningful Jewish destination. Familiarity with Jewish culture, spirituality, and traditions is valued, along with a genuine curiosity and desire to learn.
Our Community
We are the one Reform Jewish, and largest, congregation in Boulder County, creating meaning in our lives through a wide range of Jewish practices.
We strive to be a community of belonging, seeing people for who they are and where they are in their Jewish journeys. One of our core values is ensuring that our congregants are noticed, named, known, needed, and nurtured.
We believe individuals and families should have multiple gateways into Jewish life and learning, and we continue to experiment with programs that vary in content, cohort, format (family and peer-based), schedule, and intensity of involvement.
Our vision, which we frequently lean into and revisit, is grounded in Jewish values:
G’milut Chasadim – We celebrate together and lift one another through acts of generosity and kindness
B’tzelem Elohim – We honor the divine potential in every person
Tzedek, Tzedek Tirdof – We pursue justice and work to repair the world
