WEEKEND OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks, California is looking for a warm, organized, and tech-savvy person to join our team as a Part-Time Weekend Operations Coordinator. This role is key to keeping our weekly services and community programs running smoothly, along with our digital presence. Key Responsibilities:

Worship and Service Coordination

• Coordinate logistics for weekly Shabbat services and holiday programming
• Ensure all service elements are prepared and run smoothly
• Be the on-site point of contact during services and b’nai mitzvah celebrations to handle last-minute needs

Hospitality and Oneg Coordination

• Manage and/or complete weekly food runs and supply purchases for post-service Oneg/Kiddush gatherings
• Make sure B’nai Mitzvah and other lifecycle celebrations go off without a hitch

Livestream & Technology

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot livestream equipment for weekly services and special events

Program Support

• Help plan and execute synagogue events, classes, and community programs
• Coordinate with clergy, staff, and lay leaders to support program logistics

Social Media & Digital Communications

• Create and schedule engaging content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
• Update and maintain the synagogue website with current event info, photos, and news as needed
• Respond to inquiries via social media and email in a timely and friendly manner
