About Us

Temple Rodef Shalom is a Reform Jewish congregation located in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. Since our founding in 1962, we have grown into the largest Jewish congregation in Virginia, serving over 1,800 households. Each week, we are bustling with activity, serving nearly 150 families in our Early Childhood Center, nearly 800 students in our Religious School and hundreds of people who walk through our doors to pray, sing, learn, connect, and mark life cycle moments.

The Operations Associate is the first point of contact for members, visitors, vendors, and staff who call, email, or visit the temple. They play a vital role in creating a positive first impression while ensuring a safe and smooth day-to-day operation. They will check people in to the building following our standard security protocol, maintaining a strong understanding of staff roles and daily programs and events, to ensure that members and visitors alike are directed appropriately to people and places throughout the building. This role also provides a small amount of basic administrative support to the Executive Director: scheduling and calendaring meetings, submitting setup forms, ordering food, and ordering and preparing supplies as needed.
