About OneFamily

At OneFamily, we stand beside Israel's families in their most difficult moments, supporting those who have lost loved ones or been directly impacted by terror. From immediate crisis response to long-term healing, our work ensures no one faces tragedy alone.

OneFamily US is the American arm of the OneFamily Fund, Israel's leading organization supporting bereaved families and survivors of terror through emotional, financial, and rehabilitative care.

Overview

OneFamily US is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven leader to serve as Director of OneFamily US. Reporting to the Executive Leadership of OneFamily US and working closely with leadership in Israel, the Director will lead efforts to grow OneFamily's fundraising, visibility, partnerships, and impact across the United States.

This role serves as a critical bridge between supporters in the US and the life-changing work happening in Israel. The Director will lead fundraising initiatives, deepen donor relationships, expand organizational reach, and help communicate the powerful impact of OneFamily's mission.

We are looking for someone warm, entrepreneurial, emotionally intelligent, and deeply people-oriented, who can build authentic relationships while operating strategically. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable cultivating major donors, representing the organization publicly, managing a team, and helping shape the future growth of OneFamily US.

This is an in-person role based in Teaneck, NJ. Travel within the United States and occasional travel to Israel is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive US fundraising strategy, including major gifts, annual campaigns, and events.

  • Build and maintain meaningful, long-term relationships with donors through thoughtful communication and engagement.
  • Oversee donor stewardship strategies, including recognition, reporting, and personalized outreach.
  • Help shape compelling donor communications and storytelling that connect supporters to the impact of OneFamily's work.
  • Ensure donors are connected to the impact of their giving through meaningful updates and engagement opportunities.

(3) Events & Community Engagement

  • Plan and execute fundraising events, parlor meetings, and community programs.
  • Represent OneFamily US at events and speaking engagements to raise awareness and support.
  • Engage volunteers and community leaders to deepen grassroots involvement.

(4) Operations & Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day US operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and leadership in Israel to align messaging, priorities, and programmatic updates.
  • Manage administrative systems, including donor databases (e.g., DonorPerfect), reporting, and budgeting.
  • Lead and support a small, high-performing US team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

(5) Strategic Growth

  • Expand OneFamily's national presence, partnerships, and visibility across the United States.
  • Identify opportunities to increase OneFamily's footprint and engagement nationwide.
  • Develop partnerships with Jewish communities, federations, synagogues, and other aligned organizations.
  • Contribute to organizational strategy and long-term planning.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of database management experience (DonorPerfect experience preferred).
  • Proven track record in major gifts fundraising and donor relationship management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain authentic relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Passion for OneFamily's mission and a deep connection to Israel.
  • Experience working with Israeli organizations or international nonprofits is a plus.
