Job Title: Religious School Faculty
Location: Congregation B’nai Israel of Boca Raton/ Boca Raton FL 

Type: Part-Time | Academic Year (Sundays & Tuesdays)

Our Religious School serves students from Pre-K through 12th Grade, providing meaningful Jewish education rooted in tradition and relevant to today’s world. 

 

Position Overview: 
We are seeking passionate, creative, and dedicated educators to join our Religious School faculty for the upcoming academic year. Faculty members play a vital role in shaping the Jewish identities of our students by creating warm, engaging classroom environments that foster connection, curiosity, and a love of Jewish life and learning. 

 

Current Openings for the 2025-2026 School Year 

2nd Grade - Sunday

6th grade Judaics - Sunday

4th-6th Grade Hebrew Teacher - Sunday & Tuesday

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Teach students using our established curriculum, which emphasizes Jewish values, holidays, history, Hebrew, Torah, and current events.
  • Create interactive, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that bring Jewish learning to life.
  • Collaborate with education staff and fellow teachers to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, as needed.
  • Participate in faculty training sessions, holiday programming, and school-wide events throughout the year.
  • Uphold the values and inclusive philosophy of Reform Judaism in the classroom.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience teaching or working with children or teens (Jewish educational experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Jewish traditions, holidays, and values.
  • Comfort teaching in a Reform Jewish context.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and nurturing teaching style.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Hebrew knowledge

 

Schedule: 

Sunday Mornings

Faculty orientation and ongoing professional development sessions are required 

Tuesday afternoons

Compensation: 
Competitive hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
