Description

Camp Kingswood, a premier co-ed Jewish overnight waterfront camp in Maine, is seeking a creative, enthusiastic Arts & Crafts Specialist, with expertise in Jewlery crafts, to lead our art program and help bring imagination to life across camp.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily arts & crafts sessions for campers ages 7–17
  • Plan and implement creative projects across a variety of mediums (painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, etc.)
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive space where campers feel comfortable expressing themselves
  • Adapt projects for different ages and skill levels
  • Organize and maintain art supplies and the studio space
  • Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression in all campers
  • Display and celebrate camper artwork throughout the summer

What We’re Looking For

  • Passion for art, creativity, and hands-on projects
  • Experience working with children or in a teaching/mentorship role (preferred)
  • Ability to plan engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Organized, flexible, and comfortable managing supplies and materials
  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented mindset
  • Skills in areas beyond drawing and painting, such as Jewlery making, wire crafts

Community Responsibilities

  • Serve as a cabin counselor during non-program times
  • Participate in all aspects of camp life including meals, evening programs, and camper care
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and spirited camp community
