Community Engagement Lead, Bay Area

South Bay | Peninsula | East Bay

Summary
The Community Engagement Lead grows the Club Z community by building meaningful relationships with teens, parents, professionals, donors, and community members. Through dynamic outreach and grassroots community building, this role drives recruitment of new families and cultivates donor engagement, all while reflecting a deep commitment to Zionism and advocacy for Israel and the Jewish people.


We are looking for a highly positive, entrepreneurial candidate who thrives in a fast-paced startup culture and brings creativity, initiative, and warmth to the role. The ideal candidate is self-directed, collaborative, detail-oriented, and excited about building community from the ground up. This is a part-time position perfect for someone who can work independently, manage their own schedule, and combine passion for Israel with strong organizational and
interpersonal skills.


Position Details
• Part-time role averaging 20 hours per week (some weeks lighter, some heavier, based
on programming and community needs)
• Salary: $40,000 annually
• Region: Greater Bay Area, with a focus on South Bay, Peninsula, and East Bay
• Ability to attend 1–2 weekend events away per year
• Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as needed
• Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively
Essential Functions
• Serve as the regional point of contact for the Greater Bay Area community.
• Recruit new teens and families to participate in Club Z programming.
• Build and cultivate relationships with parents, Jewish professionals, community leaders,
and donors to expand Club Z’s reach and impact.
• Identify, engage, and steward prospective donors, supporting fundraising efforts and
donor recruitment in coordination with the development team.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with teens, local partners, synagogues,
schools, and Jewish youth organizations.
• Coordinate and facilitate community events, social activities, and parlor meetings
focused on community building and a commitment to Zionism.
• Work directly with teen leaders to grow Club Z’s presence by creating speaking
opportunities at synagogues, schools, and Jewish youth groups.
• Conduct one-on-one and small-group meetings (in person and by phone) with parents
and teens to deepen their connection to Club Z.

• Create meaningful opportunities to engage new families and integrate them into the Club Z community.

• Proactively use social media to engage the community, promote events, and expand
Club Z’s regional visibility.
• Adhere to all Club Z systems, tools, and organizational protocols, maintaining accurate
records of constituents, partners, and donor prospects.
Experience & Qualifications
• Passion for and close alignment with the mission and principles of Club Z.
• Experience in community outreach, organizing, recruitment, or relationship-building (2+
years preferred).
• Experience working with youth (ages 13–22) and with parents; background in advocacy
is a plus.
• Experience cultivating donors or fundraising is a strong plus.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit — a self-starter who takes initiative, works independently,
and executes projects efficiently.
• Proven ability to build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation and public speaking
ability.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of social media and the ability to create and promote engaging content.
• Computer savvy, proficient with Microsoft Office and Mac OS applications, and
comfortable learning new tools, software, and databases.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Ability to travel locally within the Bay Area and attend 1–2 weekend events away per
year.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and based in the Greater Bay Area.
