The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, MD is seeking candidates for an Upper School STEM Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Members of the STEM department work collaboratively in designing and delivering an outstanding STEM education to middle and high school students in a supportive, engaging and rich environment which values the whole child.
The ideal candidate is passionate about STEM, excels at teaching both Middle School and High School students, and has at least three years of related experience. They have rich experience with the engineering design process and project-based learning. They are passionate about working with Middle School and High School aged students, creative and collaborative, and have demonstrated success working as an active member of a team. Strong candidates have a successful record of creating meaningful relationships with students, are deeply knowledgeable about the subject area, and have demonstrated success in integrating positive behavior management in neuro-diverse classrooms.
Pay is commensurate with education and experience, and is calculated according to a school-wide pay scale. This position is eligible for benefits.
