General Studies Principal

Hadar High School for Girls www.hadarhs.org is looking for a passionate, professional and experienced General Studies Principal commencing for the 2026-2027 academic year. Hadar High School for Girls is an Orthodox high school located in Boca Raton, Florida and has a student body of 82 students and growing. The General Studies Principal will be part of an administrative team that looks to create an environment of collaboration and teamwork among our faculty with a strong emphasis on personal and professional growth. The General Studies Principal reports directly to the Head of School.

Responsibilities Include: 

Instructional Leadership

• Review and revise general studies curriculum in order to ensure scope and sequence as well as alignment with State of Florida standards
• Assess and evaluate school policies and systems in conjunction with the administrative team 
• Teach subject area of expertise 

Staff Recruitment, Supervision, and Professional Development

• Oversee general studies faculty that includes: curriculum, classroom observations, faculty meetings, performance evaluations
• Meet regularly with general studies teachers to develop and evaluate curriculum goals 
• Recruit, hire and retain outstanding general studies faculty in collaboration with the Head of School
• Lead, motivate and inspire general studies faculty to achieve high standards
• Foster an atmosphere of creativity, partnership and innovation among the general studies faculty
• Collaborate with administrative team in identifying and organizing professional development opportunities for faculty

Students’ Recruitment and Retention

• Devise, along with administration, strategies to maintain strong student retention
• Participate actively in school recruitment initiatives
• Serve as a member of admissions committee
• Work alongside Head of School and Judaic Studies Principal in class and level placement of new students

Students’ success 

• Maintain a positive and effective learning environment that promotes excellence
• Oversee college guidance department and work directly with the college guidance counselor to ensure successful post-graduate placement

Credentials for this position: 

• A master's degree in education or relevant subject area
• Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience
• High School experience required
• Strong writing and communication skills
• An ability to develop rapport with faculty, students and parents
• Proficiency with educational technology
