Part-Time Religious School Teacher

Temple Shaarei Shalom is seeking part-time Religious School teachers for the 2026–2027 school year who are enthusiastic, creative, engaging, and nurturing. We are a Reform congregation located in Boynton Beach, FL.

Religious School meets from August-May on Sundays from 9:30am–12:00pm (K–7th grade) and Wednesday’s from 5:00pm–6:00pm (4^th-7^th grade).

We are currently hiring for:

• Elementary and Middle School Judaic Teachers (Sundays)
• Hebrew Teacher (Wednesdays)
• Substitute Teachers

About the Role:
Whether you have experience teaching in a religious school, secular classroom, or informal education setting, we'd love to meet educators who are passionate about guiding children toward meaningful, lasting connections to Jewish learning and community. Our program is built on the belief that Jewish education should be engaging, meaningful, and fun to helping students build friendships, strengthen their Jewish identity, and connect with values, traditions, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build strong, meaningful relationships with students
• Design and deliver creative, experiential lessons based on a given curriculum
• Foster students' love of Jewish traditions, values, and culture
• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with other teachers and teen volunteers to support classroom activities

Requirements:

• Prior teaching experience recommended
• Knowledge and understanding of Jewish values, practice, and tradition
• Strong classroom presence and ability to engage children
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
