Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School is seeking a full time Director of Admission.
Since its founding in 1972, the leadership, administration, and parents at Heschel have established and continued the foundations of building a vibrant Jewish community. We seek a passionate Director of Admissions who will work with us to expand the enrollment of our school. The Director of Admission serves as a member of the administrative team and reports directly to the Head of School. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Admission Office including recruitment and outreach. In doing so, it is their responsibility to help convey the mission, culture, and core values of the school. Furthermore, this is a leadership position that requires the ability to develop and project a vision of the future.

High-level proficiency with collaborative cloud computing (e.g. Google Suite for Education), platforms commonly used by not-for-profit organizations (Blackbaud), relevant to branding/marketing and communications; and a working knowledge of web development languages, student information systems, browsers, and other emerging web technologies.
Work closely and effectively with the Head of School, administrative team, faculty, Board members, and Parent Organization within the full range of activities. Directs the admissions process from point of contact through enrollment. Serve as the primary contact for prospective parents.
Revise and prepare all admission materials.
Manage admission policies, procedures, and admission records.
Play an instrumental role in the scheduling, coordinating, and execution in all admission events

? Assessments of new students
Coach and work closely with the parent and student ambassadors who help at all admission events.
Work with the faculty and administrative team to administer interviews and assessments.
Evaluates all applicant files and applicants and coordinates Admissions Committee meetings to
review these files.
Create, visit, and maintain contacts with preschools.
Foster existing and maintain contacts with other elementary schools.
Gather and analyze admission data and present to the administration and Board of Directors as
Represent the school at workshops, conferences, and fairs.
Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop promotional
materials that interpret the school to prospective families.
Collaborate with other independent school counterparts about trends and best practices.
Participate in the CAIS/WASC self-study.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and build relationships across members of the organization.
