Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta (JF&CS) is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Marketing to lead how we show up in Atlanta, tell our story, and connect more people to the services and support they need.
With a 125-year history of supporting individuals and families of all faiths, JF&CS is a trusted community resource. The north star for this role is simple: help more people find their way to JF&CS—as clients, donors, volunteers, and partners.
The Role at a Glance
- Reports directly to the CEO
- Manages a marketing team of five
- Member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Strategic + hands-on leadership role
This position blends big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution. Some days you’ll set priorities and direction. Other days you’ll be editing copy, reviewing creative, troubleshooting a campaign, or jumping in alongside your team to get it across the finish line.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Strategy, Brand & Storytelling
- Develop and execute a clear, agency-wide marketing strategy
- Own and maintain brand voice across all channels
- Lead digital strategy and campaigns that drive awareness and action
- Support senior leadership communications, including speeches, newsletters, and key messaging
- Tell stories that honor our Jewish roots and resonate across Atlanta
Marketing Operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a talented 5–6 person marketing team
- Set priorities so the work that matters most gets done first
- Build clear project management systems so roles, timelines, and decisions are clear
- Manage the marketing budget and external vendors
- Oversee media relationships, agencies, and consultants
- Track performance, analyze results, and continuously improve
Internal Partnerships & Support
- Serve as marketing liaison to senior leadership and the C-suite
- Partner with Development on campaigns, events, and donor engagement
- Develop marketing support plans for 25+ programs
- Strengthen alignment across departments so marketing is seen as a true partner
You Are:
- Curious, creative, and relationship-driven

- Deeply motivated by mission and community impact
You Have:
- Strong marketing chops across digital, brand, content, and communications
- Excellent writing and editing skills; you can make a message land
- The ability to balance strategy and execution in a fast-moving environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills
You Bring:
- 7–10 years of marketing, communications, or brand leadership
- 5–7 years of team leadership experience
- Proven success building and executing strategic marketing plans
- Experience using data and KPIs to drive decisions and measure success
- Established relationships in Atlanta’s nonprofit, philanthropic, or civic spaces
- Comfort navigating Jewish culture, traditions, and stakeholders
- College degree required
- Flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends
