High School Learning Specialist

Katz Yeshiva High School, a private Jewish high school in Boca Raton, Florida, offers a rigorous dual curriculum in Judaic and General Studies to a student body of 500.  Our faculty consists of educators with diverse backgrounds who possess a shared passion for inspiring students and instilling within them a lifelong love of learning. We are currently recruiting for the position of High School Learning Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach specialized learning support classes and provide individualized and small-group instruction focused on strengthening academic skills, executive functioning, organization, time management, and study strategies across disciplines.
  
  
• Develop and deliver structured, skills-based lessons aligned with course content and student learning goals. Design assessments that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent application of learning strategies.
  
  
• Develop and implement targeted, evidence-based interventions to support students experiencing academic challenges in areas including reading comprehension, writing, mathematics, and executive functioning.
  
  
• Support students in developing self-advocacy skills and increasing academic independence.
  
  
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, Guidance, and Administration to implement appropriate accommodations and modifications, including testing supports, extended time, alternative assessment formats, and structured academic recovery plans.
  
  
• Coordinate and monitor testing accommodations to ensure fidelity and consistency.
  
  
• Analyze academic performance data, track student progress, and adjust interventions as needed to ensure measurable growth.
  
  
• Communicate regularly with parents and faculty regarding student progress, goals, and support plans.
  
  
• Utilize proactive classroom management and student engagement strategies to foster a respectful, structured, and supportive learning environment.
  
  
• Actively participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative culture of continuous improvement within the school community.
