The Adelson School is a premier independent Jewish Day School grounded in academic excellence, Jewish values, and the enduring traditions of classical education. We are seeking a strategic and creative Marketing & Communications Manager to bring our story to life - elevating the Adelson brand through compelling storytelling, thoughtful strategy, and impactful, multi-channel engagement. This role is central to advancing the school’s visibility, strengthening community connection, and supporting continued institutional growth.

 This is a full-time, year-round, on-site position that collaborates with and reports to the Head of School.

 POSITION OVERVIEW

The Marketing & Communications Manager leads the planning, execution, and analysis of integrated marketing and communications initiatives that support development, admissions and enrollment, academics, creative, and community engagement, and advances the school’s mission. This individual is both a strategic thinker and hands-on executor, responsible for delivering compelling, cohesive messaging across all channels.

 KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

 Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive, multi-channel marketing and communications strategies aligned with institutional priorities and branding, including development, admissions and enrollment, academics, advancement, and community engagement.
  • Define marketing campaign objectives, target audiences, messaging, channeling strategies across email, social media, digital advertising, print, and event initiatives.
  • Establish KPI's and measurement frameworks to evaluate performance and inform continuous improvement.
  • Manage marketing budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure efficient and effective execution.
  • Steward and uphold Adelson’s brand identity, voice, and messaging framework across all platforms and communications.

 Content Development & Execution

  • Write, edit, and oversee compelling content for a wide range of communications, including but not limited to development and admissions materials, newsletters, website content, event promotions, and institutional messaging.
  • Manage and grow the school’s digital presence, including social media channels ensuring consistent, engaging, and mission-aligned content.
  • Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns optimizing for reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Partner with the Creative Director to conceptualize and produce compelling, high-caliber visual and digital assets that elevate brand presence and engagement.
  • Oversee and maintain school-wide events and marketing calendars.
  • Support the creation and distribution of key institutional publications and collateral.
  • Ensure, execute, and organize photography and videography of schoolwide activities and events.

 Events & Community Engagement

  • Partners with internal teams to plan, promote, and execute key school events, including admissions events, academic events, parent engagement programs, fundraising events, and community gatherings.
  • Ensure events are effectively marketed and aligned with broader institutional messaging and goals.
  • Capture and leverage event content for ongoing marketing and storytelling purposes.

 Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and communication efforts.
  • Provide regular insights and actionable recommendations to leadership to help advance forward thinking and decision-making.
  • Track engagement metrics in collaboration with relevant departments.

 Collaboration & Communications

  • Serve as a strategic communications partner to school leadership, administrators, faculty, and staff - translating institutional priorities into clear, compelling messaging for the Adelson School community, prospective families, and the external community at large.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and media partners as needed.
  • Manage media relations, including responding to inquiries and supporting proactive press opportunities.
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in all outward-facing communications.

 EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five plus years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field; experience in independent schools, Jewish education preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing and Communications, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across a variety of formats and audiences.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, analytics, and paid media strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with independent school environments, development, and admissions processes.
  • Appreciation for and familiarity with Jewish traditions, culture, holidays, verbiage, and priorities.
  • Experience with platforms such as Veracross, Pixevety, Carousel, or similar systems. This position requires managing /uploading weekly flow of content on these platforms.
  • Basic understanding of design tools and content management systems.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds occasionally.
  • May be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time, 12-month position. While the role follows a standard workday schedule, the Marketing & Communications Manager will occasionally work evenings and weekends to support school programs and events.
