Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in sharing Camp Judaea’s story and fostering connections with the community to drive camper and staff recruitment, fundraising, and engagement. This role focuses on creating compelling narratives, designing visual and written content, ensuring consistent messaging across all communications channels, and leading all summer external communication. Additionally, the position involves coordinating events/retreats and supporting camp operations.

 

The position is remote in the South Florida Tri-County Area or hybrid in Atlanta during the offseason. Residence at Camp Judaea in Hendersonville, NC, is required from mid-May through early August. This position requires travel across the Southeast for events, programs, and conferences.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing and Communications

  • Execute marketing calendar and campaigns across digital channels including email, social media, and web
  • Create engaging brochures, videos, flyers, graphics, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
  • Act as Camp Judaea’s primary storyteller, creating and sharing stories that reflect the camp’s mission and values.
  • Manage a comprehensive summer and year-round communications calendar and corresponding deliverables.
  • Track campaign performance and lead attribution using analytics tools
  • Oversee all summer external communications, including social media updates, parent communications, podcast, weekly highlight videos, and the communications calendar ensuring clarity, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Supervise summer communications team of coordinator, photographers, and videographers.
  • Organize and maintain photo and video assets for use across multiple platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure brand consistency in all materials and communications.
  • Write and distribute press releases, building and maintaining relationships with Jewish and other relevant media outlets to promote Camp Judaea’s programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate on donor communications, including newsletters and appeals.
  • Serve as a member of the summer leadership team, contributing to the overall success of the camp season.

 

Event and Operations Support 

  • Represent Camp Judaea in the local Jewish community by attending camp fairs, synagogue and JCC events, and community gatherings, while staying current on market trends and relationship opportunities to support enrollment efforts.
  • Coordinate and manage logistics and marketing of year-round retreat programs, such as Family Camp, events, and year-round rentals.
  • Coordinate logistics and marketing of year-round engagement events across the Southeast such as community Havdalah, Shabbat, and get togethers/meet-ups.
  • Coordinate long-term summer trips managing logistics, scheduling, vendors, and parent communications during trips. 
  • Assist with summer logistics and operations preparations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong storytelling and writing skills with an eye for design and branding.
  • Proficiency in Canva, social media platforms, and email marketing tools.
  • Experience managing websites (WordPress or similar platforms preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and independently manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with Jewish culture, values, and traditions is a plus.
  • Experience in a Jewish nonprofit or summer camp setting is a plus.
  • Passion for Camp Judaea’s mission and the ability to convey it through creative content.
