Partnering in the Federation’s Fundraising and Legacy Giving portfolios. Position reports to the CEO.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Marketing
Establish email and social media campaigns for fundraising and legacy giving.
Develop -with CEO - campaign and legacy materials and collateral, print, audio, video, infographic.
Access and utilize marketing materials specific to fundraising and legacy giving.
- Communications
Collaborate on development and execution of social media strategy as it relates to microcampaigns, legacy giving and other fundraising.
Use databases to track donor and legacy communications and identify new prospects.
- Foundation/Endowment
Coordinate the LIFE &LEGACY Program soon to launch. LIFE & LEGACY is a 4-year partnership program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF). HGF partners with Jewish Federations and Foundations to promote after-lifetime giving to benefit local Jewish organizations and institutions.
Coordinate use of the program to provide training for participating organizations to secure legacy gifts, steward donors and integrate legacy giving into the philanthropic culture of the Jewish community.
- Annual Community Campaign & Corporate Sponsorship
Partner with CEO, Campaign Committee, and staff to execute annual community campaign and corporate sponsorship support.
As part of the development team, create and grow relationships with potential donors and sponsors throughout Rockland with intent to secure event and program sponsorship.
- Additional Responsibilities
Participate in event planning and coordination for Federation led community events & other duties as required including assistance with community campaign.
Requirements:
Ideally a 4-year college degree; minimum of 2 years fundraising or equivalent (i.e. sales) relevant experience.
Passionate about Jewish communal life; knowledge of the Rockland Jewish community and broader non-profit environment is a major asset. Must be a self starter, a team player, and relationship builder.
Proficient in developing presentations & marketing materials, professional social media presence and outstanding interpersonal skills. Excellent oral, writing and organizational skills.
Ability to coordinate and manage legacy teams consisting of professional and lay leaders from 8-10 Jewish organizations. Experience with non-profit fundraising, planned-giving, and endowments.
Ability to manage records and utilize Excel spreadsheets.
