The Director of the Lower School is a member of the School Leadership Team and advances the school's mission by leading and providing operational and academic oversight of the Lower School. Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, this position works to implement a comprehensive and innovative child-centered program for our Lower School division of 500+ students.
Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of experience as a Lower School Director/Principal serving a large student population, advanced educational degree in an education related field, a track record of success in previous school leadership in establishing cultural growth and strong organizational, communication, and technology skills. Individuals must be committed to partnering with our constituencies, innovation in teaching and learning and eager to elevate the academic profile of the school. Candidates must thrive on data, be an empathetic problem solver, be self-aware and reflective with a strong desire to grow professionally while pairing pedagogical depth with warmth and humility, bringing strategic insight and every day attentiveness to a school that values joyful learning and meaningful relationships. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
