We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Development Associate to join our Washington, D.C. office and work closely with senior staff on donor relations, development, grants, and related organizational priorities.

This is a demanding position in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and requires someone who is professional, discreet, flexible, and exceptionally well organized. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator who takes initiative, exercises good judgment, pays close attention to detail, and can successfully manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The position is currently expected to be full-time in the office, although some flexibility may be possible in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and managing donor correspondence and other high-level communications, working closely with organizational leadership based in the U.S. and Israel
  • Coordinating schedules, meetings, calls, and follow-up
  • Preparing and processing grant applications, proposals, reports, and related materials
  • Tracking grant and development deadlines and ensuring timely follow-through
  • Maintaining donor records and handling sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion
  • Preparing materials for donor meetings, briefings, and outreach
  • Supporting donor research and cultivation efforts
  • Coordinating with staff on development-related projects and priorities
  • Providing additional support to senior staff as needed

Qualifications

  • At least three years of relevant professional experience; candidates with additional experience are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong professional judgment and discretion
  • A demonstrated record of responsibly handling confidential donor, financial, or other sensitive information
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to changing priorities
  • A proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to be a team player
  • Professionalism in dealing with senior staff, donors, and outside contacts

We are looking for someone interested in becoming an important part of the organization, not simply filling a short-term position. Candidates must be prepared to make a minimum two-year commitment, with the hope and opportunity for a longer-term role.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Please apply only if you have at least three years of relevant professional experience and can make a minimum two-year commitment.
