Greenwood House is currently seeking an Associate Director of Development where you will work under the Direction of the Executive Director/CEO and will work with the Development Associate/Events Manager to achieve philanthropy goals in all areas of fundraising. You will partner with Board and staff leadership to identify, cultivate, and steward new and existing donors, providing an optimal philanthropic experience for all supporters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively identify new funding streams as well as new individual/family prospects, and steward accordingly.
  • Build donor and campaign-specific cultivation strategies and opportunities.
  • Serve as a highly visible liaison to the GWH Foundation, Advisory Board, and Committees with responsibility for goal setting, meetings, and communication.
  • Take the lead in identifying systems and processes that improve the functionality of the development team, while maintaining daily oversight of the team.
  • Ensure a robust offering of programs to residents and families to support their giving inclination.
  • Oversee, develop, and actively grow the planned giving pipeline.
  • Create, implement, and execute a comprehensive communication plan for the department.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for committee chairs and other volunteers.
  • Drive institutional giving through relationship building (resident families, donors, and other organizations).
  • Maintain accurate and timely reports of fundraising activity and progress for senior leadership and Board.
  • This position is responsible for event fundraising, as well as individual giving and select corporate giving.

Candidate qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Availability on weekends/evenings to attend donor/constituent needs.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the nonprofit development field, with a track record of successful individual, corporate, and major donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Experience in successful event fundraising, as well as annual giving programs, is required.
  • Experience with Donor Perfect or comparable fundraising database and all Microsoft Office functions is required.
  • Excellent volunteer stewardship skills are required.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills

Pay: $84,000.00 per year
