Description

Candidate will be responsible for performing clerical tasks in an office setting to support daily operations of a small Conservative congregation in Wellington, FL. Duties include answering the phone, taking messages, sorting & delivering mail, sending out emails, greeting visitors, keeping a calendar, making electronic bank deposits and processing credit card charges. Other duties include working on weekly and bi-monthly newsletters and developing event and holiday flyers. 

Professional Requirements & Skills include:

  • Friendly, and focused on customer service
  • Excellent orgainizational, multitasking & time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proven work experience as a Receptionisht, Administrative Assistant or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Publisher (or similar software); willingness to learn temple specific software
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (phones & printers)
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Professional attitude & appearance

Work Hours/Schedule is Monday - Friday, 11:00am-2:00pm, but could be somewhat flexible.

Temple B'nai Jacob is a small (about 50 families) Conservative Jewish congregation in western Palm Beach County (Wellington).  

Salary18.00 - 20.00 Hour
