Teachers attend one paid staff meeting a month before Hebrew School.
Responsibilities:
HCS Educators:
1) send their lesson plans to the Education Director and receive support
2) are creative, flexible, collaborative, friendly, and full-hearted
3) are respectful of where our students are in terms of their beliefs (or non-beliefs) in G-d
4) are respectful of our students' identity and identity development: gender, LGBTQIA+ community affiliation, racial identity etc.
5) are in their classrooms at least 15 minutes before start time to ensure that their materials are set up and they are ready and receptive to teach
6) follow positive discipline approaches, and call in support (Ed Director, Rabbi) when support is needed
7) keep Ed Director in the loop re: any concerns, challenges in class
