High School History Teacher (FT)

Yeshivat Frisch, a co-educational Yeshiva high school located in Paramus, New Jersey is seeking a full-time history teacher to join our history department. We are specifically looking for qualified individuals to teach either our United States History course or our integrated World and Jewish History course. Candidates' lessons should focus on close reading of sources, refining historical argumentation and writing, and developing critical thinking skills. 

Responsibilities:

• Teach 4-5 courses that will meet 5 times per week

• Serve as a student advisor or conduct bi-weekly drop in sessions

• Participate in curriculum mapping and lesson planning with the history department

• Attend required meetings with the department, school, and community

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching in the high school classroom

• Advanced degree in history or history education

• Team player who works well with others
