A role with purpose, impact, and community

The Endowment Associate is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation’s scholarship and grant making initiatives, coordinating donor stewardship activities, and assisting in projects that highlight the enduring impact of legacy giving. This role is ideal for a highly organized, service-oriented professional who is passionate about strengthening Jewish life through thoughtful philanthropy.

Role & Impact

The Endowment Associate collaborates closely with donors, lay leaders, and colleagues to ensure exceptional program delivery and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Scholarship & Grantmaking Operations

  • Administer the annual scholarship process from application launch to award distribution
  • Serve as liaison to applicants, fund-holders, and committee members
  • Track and report on disbursements in accordance with policy
  • Support other grantmaking activities including donor-advised and designated distributions

Donor Engagement & Philanthropic Coordination

  • Assist in planning and executing donor stewardship events and initiatives
  • Maintain donor data and reporting systems with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality
  • Prepare internal briefings and reports for donors and leadership
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, communications, and Foundation programs

Special Projects Support

  • Contribute to stewardship and marketing content showcasing donor impact
  • Collaborate across departments to align endowment services with community-wide initiatives
  • Support other strategic projects and events as needed

Thrive Here If You Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit administration, philanthropy, or related fields
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort working with data systems, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based tools
  • Familiarity with Jewish traditions, values, and holidays (preferred)
  • Experience administering scholarships or grants (preferred)
