Leadership & Strategic Planning

  • Lead the JCRC in fulfilling its mission to advocate for the interests and values of the Jewish community.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and the JCRC Chair to develop and implement an annnual strategic plan.
  • Facilitate meetings of the JCRC committee and subcommittees; prepare agendas, materials, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain active communication with the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA)for national policy guidance and best practices.
  • Represent JFFGC at the Coalition of Florida JCRC meetings and relevant regional/national gatherings.

Advocacy & Civic Engagement

  • Monitor legislative and policy developments at the local, state, and national levels impacting the Jewish community.
  • Coordinate timely community responses to antisemitic incidents, hate crimes, or bias related events.
  • Cultivate relationships with elected officials, civic leaders, and community partners to advocate for Jewish communal concerns.

PRIMER Award Coordination

  • Lead the planning and execution of the Federation's annual PRIMER Award program, which honors outstanding community leadership.
  • Chair the PRIMER Award selection committee, overseeing the nomination, vetting, and selections processes.
  • Manage all aspects of the award events, including program design, honoree recognition, speaker coordination, and event logistics.

Intergroup & Interfaith Relations

  • Build and maintain meaninful partnerships with:
    • Faith groups (e.g. Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Bahai communities)
    • Ethnic groups (e.g. Black, Hispanic, Asian communities)
    • Civic groups (e.g. Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis Clubs)
  • Represent the Jewish community at public forums, coalition meetings, and local interfaith events.

Education and Community Programming

  • Design and lead eductional programming on antisemitism, Israel, Jewish values, and civic engagement.
  • Collaborate with local schools, Hillel, and other partners on campus and youth advocacy.
  • Provide resources and programming to support understanding and action within and beyond the Jewish community.

Partnership2Gether (P2G) Program Management

  • Serve as the professional lead for the Federation's Partnership2Gether (P2G) program, linking our community with Israel's Hadera/Eiron region.
  • Coordinate delegations, exchanges, and projects with the SouthEast Consortium partners and Israeli counterparts.
  • Inspire lay leadership, educators, families, and youth to engage in P2G initiatives.
  • Ensure the visibility and impact of the P2G "living bridge" throughout the Federation community. 

Public Relations & Communications

  • Draft op-eds, letters to the editor, and educational articles to raise awareness of JCRC initiatives.
  • Provide content and updates for Federation newsletters, social media, and public statements.
  • Create and deliver presentations and educational materials tailored for diverse audiences.

Core Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of Jewish communal life, Israel advocacy, antisemitism, and public affairs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in coalition-building, community organizing, or government relations.
  • Skilled in leading dialogue on complex and sensitive topics with clarity and nuance.
  • Strong program management, organizaitonal, and strategic planning abilities.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work model with flexibility; attendance required at some evening and weekend events.
  • Regular collaboration with Executive Director, JCRC Chair, and volunteer leaders.
  • Occasional travel throughout the Gulf Coast region and to Israel may be required.
