Denver Jewish Day School announces the opening of a full-time Hebrew teaching position.

Denver Jewish Day School Background:

Our pluralistic Jewish community day school prepares and inspires Jewish students through an extraordinary secular and Judaic education to live purposefully, act ethically, and thrive in the world.  We serve approximately 330 students in grades PK-12 on a beautiful campus in southeast Denver.  Our Upper Division comprises around 85 middle schoolers in grades 6-8 and around 65 students in high school.  Our approximately 35 Upper Division faculty and staff come from diverse backgrounds and share a commitment to caring for and educating young people holistically.

Role and responsibilities of the Hebrew teacher:

Denver Jewish Day School seeks a dynamic Hebrew teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.  This full-time position entails teaching a variety of levels of Hebrew language to students in grades 6-12.  In addition to fulfilling their core teaching responsibilities, full-time faculty at Denver JDS are expected to engage with students in other settings, including advisory, athletics, class trips, elective courses, clubs, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

We are looking for passionate educators who are excited about working in a small school environment where it is possible to get to know students well and provide highly individualized guidance and support.  Applicants for this position must be fluent in Hebrew and have experience teaching or working with youth.  The ideal candidate will have a record of excellence in prior roles and demonstrate comfort in developing creative, interdisciplinary curricula in collaboration with colleagues.

Compensation:

The salary range is $50,000-$60,000.  We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
