Position Summary:

The Development & Events Coordinator is a key entry-level position that provides comprehensive support across our fundraising, events, communications, and administrative efforts. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive, and mission-driven individual eager to grow within the non-profit space.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Office Support

  • Process online donations via Salesforce, Eventbrite, and internal tools
  • Reconcile and record donations for bookkeeping and acknowledgment
  • Manage incoming mail and donor checks
  • Order office and event supplies
  • Take notes and prepare outlines for team and board meetings
  • Provide administrative support across departments

Event Coordination

  • Manage event guest lists and track RSVPs
  • Support corporate and individual sponsorship outreach and follow-up
  • Prepare sponsorship invoices and communication
  • Attend and assist in planning meetings with host committees
  • Manage the annual Roll of Honor to thank major donors
  • Serve as right-hand to Events Manager for additional needs

Communications & Donor Relations

  • Send donation acknowledgments, pledge letters, and other donor mailings
  • Monitor and respond to emails sent to [email protected]
  • Help edit and prepare donor documents and fundraising collateral
  • Work with our web designer to keep the website up-to-date
  • Support donor follow-up and assist in pledge collection

Research & Data Management

  • Assist with research on foundation and individual donor prospects
  • Support donor pipeline creation and maintenance via Google Sheets and Salesforce
  • Create and update donor profiles with relevant information and event history

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Collaborative and detail-oriented
  • Interest in educational equity, Israel, and nonprofit work
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Google Workspace, Excel, Salesforce, etc.
  • No prior nonprofit experience required
