We are a warm and inclusive community focused on connections and relationships. Our religious school of 100 K-7 students uses a homegrown curriculum based in Jewish values, emphasizing that every person is created in the image of God. We also offer early childhood family programming, an 8th grade cooking class program and teen programming.  We are a community based on genuine, caring relationships.  

 

We are looking for a Youth Education Administrator who takes pleasure in caring for the many administrative and tactical details of running multiple educational programs and will also enjoy meaningful engagement with teachers, students and families.  

 

The Youth Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Director of Education, as well as day-to-day support for our K-12 programs.  

The details of this position’s responsibilities include: 

 

  • Under supervision of the Director of Education, support managing the details required for running an after-school religious enrichment program. This includes maintaining a database of student information including rosters and calendars, drafting school-wide communications, responding to parent emails, overseeing the logistics of enrollment, maintaining emergency documents, and similar administrative and logistical tasks. 
  • Support creation and execution of Family Engagement Programming including but not limited to holiday programs, celebrations and opportunities for classroom community engagement programming. 
  • Maintain the Religious School office and supplies and take regular inventory. 
  • Support teachers by ensuring they have all the supplies and logistical information they need to teach effectively. 
  • Coordinate program setup needs with facilities team. 
  • Create and support social media presence for the Religious School community.  
  • Be present on the ground during religious school hours to support teachers, TAs and students.  These hours include Mondays 3:00-6:30pm and Wednesdays 2:00-6:30pm.  
  • Support three in-person Saturday or Sunday programs annually 

 

  • We are looking for someone who: 

 

  • Is passionate about supporting Jewish community life through dedicated engagement, innovative programming and insightful support for children and families. 
  • Is highly detail oriented and organized.  You value systems and know how to plan and execute tasks in order to meet deadlines.  
  • Is a self-starter and a problem solver with excellent communication skills, in person and in writing.   
  • Knows Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of ShulCloud, Canva and Constant Contact a plus. 
  • Is excited to promote family programs on social media 
  • Enjoys working on a team, but can also complete assigned tasks independently  
  • Enjoys interacting with parents, teachers, children and teens 
  • Is familiar with synagogue life and the Jewish holiday cycle, or is eager to learn 

 

20 hours per week. Hours are flexible but must be present during religious school hours. As noted above, these include Mondays 3:00-6:30pm and Wednesdays 2:00-6:30pm. Occasional weekend and evening hours are also required. 

Salary range is $34-$37 hourly, depending on experience.
