Middle School General Studies, Assistant Principal

Our client, a Yeshiva in Brooklyn NY, seeks an Assistant General Studies Principal of the Middle School (Girls 6-8). She plays a key leadership role in shaping the General Studies education. She will be responsible for supervising General Studies teachers along with developing curriculum, the day-to-day management of the Middle School, and fostering a warm, caring, child-centered atmosphere. She will work in collaboration with the rest of the team to create a complete educational experience for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Middle School General Studies department, ensuring a structured and inspiring learning environment.
• Collaborate with the other administrators to develop and implement school-wide goals, programs, policies, and strategic initiatives that align with the yeshiva’s mission.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to teachers, ensuring high-quality, age-appropriate pedagogy and content delivery.
• Develop, oversee, and regularly evaluate the curriculum in conjunction with the General Studies team.
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents, keeping them informed of their children’s progress.
• Oversee English programming and grade trips
• Enforce school policy i.e. school uniform compliance, lateness
• Aid in dismissal and lunch supervision
• Address any student behavioral or academic concerns with sensitivity and support.

Qualifications:

• BA required
• Experience as an Assistant Principal, for General Studies.
• Experience supervising teachers.
• Experience creating curriculum.
