Song Leader & Religious School Teachers

Temple Israel in New Rochelle is hiring a part-time Song Leader for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. We are a dynamic program that looks to engage children through interactive programming, and we feel that Jewish music is a critical part of our mission.

We are looking for applicants who have:

• Experience working with elementary school-aged children
• Play the guitar
• Love of Jewish music
• Can bring a fun and engaging energy
• Can teach singing, melodies, and prayer in a creative and fun way to lift our students and bring song to our spaces
• Ability to engage groups of children in a playful demeanor

Temple Israel’s programming year runs September 2^nd through May 12^th. The Song Leader would be part of the Religious School teaching team and work in partnership with our Director of Education and Cantor. T’filah takes place from 5:30-6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a group of 40-100 students.

Additional teaching opportunities are available for religious school classroom teachers, K-5^th grade teachers on Tuesdays and 3^rd-6^th grade on Thursday.
