Description

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

(20 hours per week)

Congregation Kol Ami (Kol Ami) is one of Westchester’s most prominent synagogues, and among the leading Reform Jewish congregations in the U.S. Kol Ami is a vibrant and innovative institution with an engaged community, a growing religious school and an excellent Early Childhood Program.  Kol Ami’s services and music program attract congregants of all ages and are based on a prayer book written by our clergy and congregants.

Kol Ami primarily relies on membership income and tuition from its 650 member households to meet its financial needs.  However, increasingly, philanthropy over-and-above membership and tuition will be needed to fill gaps between income and expenses.  In 2022, Kol Ami created an Endowment and will be funding it throughout the remainder of the 2022 fiscal year.  Kol Ami is debt-free and its financial structure is sound.  The Development Director will help position Kol Ami for continued success in the coming years.
