Organization Description

Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO) actively promotes care in the Jewish community through its volunteer-led women's and youth centers and programs. With over 800 projects, programs, and institutions, WIZO provides crucial social services, support, welfare, early learning, and educational solutions to create an equal Israeli society. WIZO's care network includes shelters for battered women, foster homes, youth villages, day care centers, and comprehensive care for vulnerable children and youth.

We have an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant who wil be involved in our events, and programs. Our ideal candidate will be in charge of all office activity, to include, but not limited to the following:

  • General receptionist duties – greet all visitors, answer phone calls, screen and direct calls, take and relay messages, respond to inquiries.
  • General secretarial and clerical functions including supporting the Executive Director, staff, and office systems.
  • Prepare and track documents and correspondence, be responsible for scheduling and calendar maintenance.
  • Logistics/administrative support for in-house programs and events.
  • Office supply inventory maintenance.
  • Compose and type routine letters.
  • Send mass emails as required.
  • Data entry and record keeping.
  • Prepare miscellaneous reports.  
  • Send CD's and announcements. 
  • Attend Executive Board Meetings, record minutes, and obtain board members's approval.
  • Upload images via drop box, network drives or any other website with cloud base space.
  • Maintain website by adding, modifying, and creating new content for web.
  • Maintain social media outlets and create material for different formats: FB, Instagram, etc. 
  • Create and update files of all promotional material (invitations, flyers, save-the-date cards, etc.) for every event.
  • Organizes and maintain events’ photos and documents.
  • Office support tasks as needed.

 Job requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Initiative, must think ahead.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design and desktop publishing (i.e., Adobe).
  • Strong workflow management skills, organized with attention to detail.
  • Confidential information management and discretion.
  • Reliability of work product.
  • Knowledge of Jewish customs and community a plus.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and/or Raisers Edge a plus. 

 

Salary54,000.00 - 56,000.00 Annual
