Seeking: Community and Donor Relations Director (full-time)

Purpose of the Position: To partner with the CEO and lead the organization's efforts as it relates to Community Relations, Communications & Marketing, Donor Relations, PJ Library outreach and the Leadership Development Initiative.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership Development Initiative 

  • Recruiting (participants and educators), scheduling, administrating
  • Follow up
  • Israel trip planning 

Community Relations

  • Staff CRC meetings
  • Press coordination
  • Set up and maintain government and NGO meetings for CEO and Board
  • Board of Rabbis administrative facilitation

Marketing

  • Maintain community calendar
  • Develop and circulate community newsletter
  • Establish email and social media campaigns for fundraising and cause-raising
  • Develop with CEO campaign materials and collateral, print, audio, video infographic
  • Develop creative opportunities for community member engagement
  • Access JFNA marketing materials

Communications

  • Ensure regular distribution of board packages, minutes, agendas
  • Staff and report on select committee meetings
  • Ensure distribution of press releases (work with Robin)
  • Collaborate on development and execution of social media strategy
  • Use database to track donor communications

Foundation/Endowment/Campaign

  • Maintain Life and Legacy plan or coordinate successor endowment plan as developed by CEO and board
  • Deploy Legacy giving materials as developed
  • Coordinate potential Endowment giving platforms (Bar/Bat Mitzvah Funds, Gift Planning seminars, will writing/legal assistance etc.)
  • Work with Endowment partners for administration of their funds
  • integrate and assist with annual campaign

PJ Library outreach

  • Develop relationships with PJ Parents
  • Create and execute regular events for PJ cadre
  • Work with PJ National office to expand program

Other Duties as Required

 

 

Requirements: Minimum of 4-year college degree with an emphasis in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related-field; minimum of 2 years professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.  Proficient in developing presentations & marketing materials, professional social media presence and outstanding interpersonal skills. 

 

Compensation: $75K annual salary; Jewish and standard holidays; Shabbat-friendly Friday hours.
