Position Overview:
EFRAT is seeking a passionate and mission-driven Development Associate with experience in the nonprofit sector to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in cultivating relationships with donors, identifying new funding opportunities, and supporting strategic development initiatives to further EFRAT’s impact. A strong understanding of the Jewish community, its values, and traditions is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate, steward, and solicit a portfolio of individual donors, foundations, and community partners.
  • Identify and engage new donor prospects, including major donors, family foundations, and Jewish philanthropic networks.
  • Support and implement fundraising campaigns, donor events, and parlor meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and senior leadership on donor strategy, communication, and reporting.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, impact reports, and donor communications that reflect EFRAT’s mission and values.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and tracking systems using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar).
  • Represent EFRAT at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in fundraising or donor relations in the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven success in cultivating, securing, and stewarding donors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and connection to the Jewish community; comfort discussing Jewish values and traditions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with CRM and donor management systems preferred.
