Audio Visual Operations Manager

Anshe Emet Synagogue is a vibrant urban congregation that provides a team centered staff and clergy who provides a diverse, dynamic and welcoming community to over 1,200 families.   We recognized the importance of modernizing our offerings and strengthening Anshe Emet’s communication and raising our voice dynamically across all touchpoints.

 

The AV Operations Manager will report to the Executive Director and serve on the Anshe Emet team to provide audio visual project management to manage numerous events simultaneously, interact with congregants, and to provide live streaming and simulcasts to virtual audiences as well as onsite setup and support for in person events.  This is an events producer role with a focus on organizing all the audio visual details including streaming, Facebook Live, and Zoom. Ideal candidates should have an extensive background in producing live and prerecorded digital/virtual events. This will also involve the production of pre-recorded videos that need to be filmed and edited and streamed. This position is part-time (25 hours per week) with a concentration on weekly weekend work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Highly organized, excellent communicator and collaborator
  • Oversee and support all production operations including robotic cameras and sound system for live events
  • Experience with live streaming best practices
  • Operate live switchers such as Tricaster and vMix and direct live webcasts
  • Oversee relationships with IT and production vendors
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and IP routing
  • Setup live streams and hybrid events and monitor/troubleshoot any issues during production
  • Ensure security is layered into every aspect of the solution

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Initiative, curiosity, and drive to constantly improve
  • 5+ years experience in AV events industry
  • Excellent technical aptitude and understanding of industry technologies and trends
  • Proficient in audio, video, lighting, rigging and set design
  • Very strong organization skills
  • Excellent communication and client interaction abilities
  • Business attire
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, enjoys learning from others
  • Capable of managing, organizing and prioritizing multiple projects at the same time
  • Highly organized with superb attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Jewish faith and culture a plus
  • Knowledge of Shulcloud is a big plus!

We offer competitive compensation and benefits including:

  • Compensation of $45,000 - 50,000 commensurate with experience
