We are looking for a passionate educator to join our growing Religious School community for the 2025-26 school year!
Congregation Ohev Shalom is a mid-sized progressive Conservative congregation in Wallingford, PA (Philly suburbs). Our community is growing, and we are looking to add to our expanding school program. Our school is open to Early Learning (3 years old) through 8th grade, emphasizing experiential learning and relationship building as keys to helping our students develop a strong Jewish identity.
Each grade focuses on Hebrew language, Jewish holidays, and Jewish values through the lens of their overarching curricular topic. Teachers are asked to write their own lesson plans based on the curriculum and suggested activities provided, with assistance by the Education Director as needed. We encourage you to bring your passion, expertise, talents, and Judaism into the classroom and make the curriculum your own!
We are looking for a teacher for our combined Kindergarten & 1st grades, focusing on an introduction to Jewish life and holidays, and Hebrew.
Teaching is in-person, and our school meets on the following days and times:
Sundays (whole school)-9:00am-12:15pm
Salary is $40-55/hr, based on education and previous experience.
