Associate Vice President, Campus Antisemitism Solutions 

Location: Remote

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Hillel International is seeking a passionate, experienced, and strategic leader with a deep commitment to combating antisemitism and fostering a positive campus climate to serve as the Associate Vice President, Campus Antisemitism Solutions (‘AVP’). Reporting to the Vice President, Israel Action and Addressing Antisemitism, this role reflects the growing need to equip campuses across North America with expert personnel, best practices, and real-time solutions to address critical and unprecedented challenges.

The AVP will be responsible for the development, management, and growth of Hillel International’s new Campus Impact Advisors program. This program will place Advisors as strategic partners to Hillel Executive Directors and staff on high-need campuses where students and faculty are navigating and working to combat complex and pervasive challenges of antisemitism. 

In this pivotal role, the AVP will build, train, and lead a cohort of Advisors who are on the front lines, working to shift the climate on their respective campuses. As the leader of this critical cohort within the Hillel movement, the AVP will partner across many Hillel International departments, programs, and interventions already in place to support students and staff on campuses across North America.

Key responsibilities include:

Program Strategy & Leadership

  • Drive the strategy, design, development, and oversight of the Campus Impact Advisors program, which is essential for supporting antisemitism response and prevention at campus Hillels across North America.
  • Revise and iterate program structure and content based on feedback, metrics, and evolving campus needs.
  • Serve as a critical partner and intermediary between Hillel International, campus Hillel sta? and students, community stakeholders, and university partners to build trust, gain consensus, and make a tangible positive impact.
  • Work closely with internal leadership to deliver on our commitment to program funders by providing timely progress updates, relevant data and insights, and stewardship.

Cohort Training & Development

  • Partner with People Operations on the hiring of the inaugural cohort of Advisors, ensuring that top talent is brought in to support this crucial initiative.
  • Develop comprehensive training protocols for onboarding, training, and developing Advisors as part of a cohesive cohort, convening Advisors virtually and in person.
  • Discern and disseminate best practices emerging from within the cohort to the broader Hillel movement and beyond.

Advocacy & Strategic Partner Relations

  • Build and sustain long-term relationships and develop political and media strategies to shift the campus climate e?ectively.Hillel International
  • Provide support for Advisors as they navigate local challenges and serve as the escalation point for campuses facing particularly di?cult situations.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

The AVP, Campus Antisemitism Solutions will bring 10+ years of substantial experience in political, media, and/or community organizing, with a preference for work in those domains within the Jewish communal context. This opportunity is ideal for an entrepreneurial and creative leader with a deep understanding of the players, resources, and dynamics in the higher education landscape, particularly regarding antisemitism. The AVP will bring vision and strategy, creativity and collaboration skills, and ability to execute quickly and effectively within a dynamic and evolving organization.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Professional experience in and/or advanced working knowledge of Jewish life on campus, the higher education landscape, antisemitism, and associated political, media, and communal institutions.
  • A demonstrated ability to create, build, and manage a successful and sustainable program.
  • A high “EQ” and exceptional communications skills with ability to build strategic internal and
  • external relationships.
  • Comfort rolling up sleeves to get things done while also participating in complex strategy discussions.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring, leading teams, and developing individuals.
  • Passion for and strong commitment to Hillel International’s mission and vision.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This role may require travel opportunities, both domestically and internationally, multiple times per year.

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000, commensurate with experience.
