Job Summary

To plan, organize and implement a positive learning environment and instructional program that guides, encourages and challenges students to develop their conversational Hebrew and reading skills.

Classroom & Student Related Responsibilities 

  • Manage student behavior in accordance with Responsive Classroom and Give ‘Em Five methodology
  • Regularly communicate necessary information to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
  • Assume assigned responsibilities for Ivrit programs including Shavua Ivrit, Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut

Curricular & Grade Level Responsibilities

  • Follow curricular goals and methods prescribed by iTalAm and/or Bishvil Ha-Ivrit as well as any additional and adjustments prescribed by school. 
  • Work in conjunction with the Kodesh staff to support, collaborate and enhance in effort to strengthen our curricular goals

Professional Responsibilities & Communications

  • Maintain accurate and up to date records via the 360 SMS
  • Maintain a positive rapport with students, colleagues and families
  • Participate in school programs; both to show support and as well as assuming related responsibilities therein
  • Staff arrives in classes by 8:15am (unless specified otherwise)
  • Staff members effectively manage assigned duties including recess, lunch and dismissal
  • Staff members are expected to attend all 
    • Team Meetings
    • After school meetings 
    • Professional development programs scheduled by the school
    • Meet the Teachers 
    • Back to School Night 
    • Parent Teacher Conferences (twice a year)
